When it comes to making another music video draft, we will aim to not use as many car shots, especially when they are still central shots which can be seen as boring and we could use alternative camera positioning instead of the shot being in the centre. In addition, we have been given feedback to not use a tripod during filming and to just use free hand shots as it creates a more interesting shot instead of the shots being still and to be considered as boring.
We were also given advice to lose the vodka bottle in the shots as it was unnecessary and didn't fit in with the video we were trying to recreate. In addition, we were told to not use the static shots on the tripod for these shots as well as it makes the shot look boring even though we have found a good, old looking location where the artist looks comfortable to film but if we visit this location again, we won't use the bottle and may consider using a different costume.
With our music video only consisting of two different days of footage, it had meant that we only had two different outfits. To prevent this for the next music video, we have decided to have more days of footage and more outfit changes in order to prevent the viewers from getting bored of our music video. In addition, we will aim to use more locations which will involve researching Leicester in order to see if there are any areas which we could go to film.
The opening shot of our first music video draft needed title cards on the opening shot and needed the viewers to know who the band is and what the song is otherwise the audience may not know what the song is that they are watching which would mean they don't know what the genre of the music is which the video is based on and could affect the opinion of the viewers on what they think of the music video.
