Music videos which I like and may use as inspiration

In order to have an understanding of what song we wanted to base our music video on, we looked at other music videos in order to get a better understanding of what we wanted to make our music video like. Looking at a range of music videos helped us to know what we wanted to as we were able t o pick and choose what we wanted to use for our music video. Below are some examples of the songs we used to get inspiration from.



Rat Boy was a potential music video which we liked the effects used such as the greens screen with the inflatables. We wanted to use the idea of a car in the video using it in a fun way to demonstrate our upbeat song choice within the indie genre.



The next song is Jamie T - Sheila. We liked the idea of this song with the idea of the slow paced video with the main focus being the man featured n the video from start to finish with him singing in to the lense of the camera.



We also considered songs which had more of a story behind it such as Imagine Dragons - Radioactive where it is as if the lead singer is narrating a story as he sings the lyrics. I liked the idea of this music video as it is different compared to some music videos where the lead singer is singing in front of the camera for the whole song.

After looking at these 3 examples for inspiration, we have thought about using rat boy's style of music video in order to make our music video. With our song that we have chosen being upbeat and quick it would fit in well with what we want our band to do during the song.
