Plan for the week - Week 6 (28th August - 3rd September)

I will aim to complete both 25 word pitches in order for my target audience to understand the genre of music and why we may use certain shots or costumes within the video in order to make the video fit in with the genre of music which we had chosen to use for our video.

End of the week summary - Week 5 (7th August - 13th August

During this week plan, we were only able to film the day of footage which we said we were going to do in Leicester. However, I will aim to complete the 25 word pitch in order for the target audience to know what our band is about and what genre the music is.

Day 2 Footage

Day 2 of filming, we went to Leicester Haymarket car park and filmed the lead singer as he sings the song. We, as a group, wanted to get as much filming footage as possible so that we had a lot to work with when it comes to making the film. On the day we came to filming, it was really sunny with blue sky which made the footage look good. Below is a picture of the film shot which we had used with Fin (the lead singer) and Alfie (band member) in the background. Brad, our third member of the band wasn't in this shot as he didn't come to film with us this day but we will do more filming in this location with the other band member. We only filmed on top of a car park for this day of filming which is why I don't have much footage but we aim to in the near future film again in a different location so that we get a range of footage giving us more choice of what to use for our music video.

Plan for the week - Week 5 (7th August - 13th August)

During this plan for the week, we will aim to organise the day of filming which we weren't able to complete when we wanted to. If we have time, I will also plan to complete a 25 word pitch for my target audience to have an understanding of the genre of music the video is based on as well as the age group which the video is aimed at.

End of the week summary - Week 4 (31st July - 6th August)

For this week, we were able to record during the summer holidays in Husbands Bosworth on a strip road where we had asked for permission to use. However, we weren't able to organise our group together to complete a second day of filming and would aim to do this within the next plan for the week. We had researched some locations within Leicester and will aim to record their during the next filming day.

Day 1 Footage

On our first day of recording, we as a group decided to record our footage in Husbands Bosworth where we had found a quiet, secluded area where our band members where able to mess about and have "fun" whilst playing with the car singing Sticks and Stones.  We used a Cannon D7000 camera to record our footage which gave us good quality footage for our music video. I was recording the band singing the song whilst they were enjoying themselves in front of the camera. Below is some shots of the video footage from our day 1 filming. After looking back at our footage, we realised as a group that the footage was too fast paced which didn't allow me to be able to catch up with the band in the car making it hard to focus on the lead singers face as he sang the song.

Plan during the summer holidays

During the summer holidays me, Will, Alfie and extra members outside of media are working together to recreate the song Jamie T - Sticks n Stones with our own music video to go with it. Our plan for the summer holidays is to complete the majority of the shots whilst we can with the weather being nice. The shots we aren't able to complete we will aim to complete them during the term but we will struggle to find days where we are all available to film as some of our group are away on holiday at different times. However, the days we are available we will make a plan to film in different locations. We have an advantage as a group as we already know what song we want to do for our music video and who we are using for the main singer. We have all done our research and are going to inform our band members what they need to wear in order to fit in with the genre of music we are trying to aim our target audience at.
